JUST IN: Top CNN Host Gets The BAD News

(SNews) – The executive producer for Don Lemon’s new show “CNN This Morning” is out after just three months since it launched, according to multiple media reports.

A network source reportedly told TheWrap that, during a meeting yesterday, the staff of “CNN This Morning” was told by Ryan Kadro, new CEO Chris Licht’s second in command, that producer Eric Hall was leaving the show amid a ratings slump.

Hall was moved to “CNN Tonight” hosted by Laura Coates.

“CNN This Morning” launched in November with hosts Don Lemon, Kaitlan Collins, and Poppy Harlow trying to deliver huge ratings for the struggling network.

But it hasn’t worked out that way.

The failure of the show likely spells doom for Lemon.

Many media experts predicted that CNN moved Lemon to the morning show as a way to get rid of him after it failed.

So far, Lemon’s ratings have been even worse than what came before.

According to Deadline:

“CNN This Morning‘s audience since its debut on Nov. 1 have averaged about 400,000 viewers, compared to the 412,000 viewers that its predecessor, New Day, averaged during 2022, according to Nielsen figures.

“CNN This Morning trails Fox News’ Fox and Friends, averaging 1.33 million, and Morning Joe, posting 905,000.

“In the 25-54 demo, Fox and Friends averaged 192,000, compared to 104,000 for Morning Joe and 83,000 for CNN This Morning.”
